As hair is manufactured on the head, amino acids arrive in the blood vessels. They are linked together in the hair follicle to form protein chains which take the shape of a spiral
or helix. These are assembled into mirofibers which make up a CORTEX.
The CORTEX is then surrounded by keratin plates, which becomes what we call the
CUTICLE.
On a typical human head, , within the hair follicles, 10 TRILLION amino acids are being converted into hair keratin every second!
