For Hair Difficult To Lighten.. A Consideration:

Many of you follow my Facebook page for colorists. And, if you do, you’ve seen my recent exchange with several great friends about ammonia/free powder lightener….

Most colorists remain dedicated to using their favorite lighteners, and we should always use what we prefer. I tried a unique lightener— with caution — and am very impressed with the results. The alkalizer here is MEA.

As you know, MEA, unlike ammonia, does not dissipate as time goes on.. so it keeps on working. This can be a great thing to consider when you need OFF SCALP highlighting on hair which is difficult to lighten, or which remains a golden-orange shade.. even after prolonged application.

So first, ask your salon representative if the brand you use now offers an MEA- based lightener. If so, give it a try at your salon. The one several of my colorist pals and I are using is a powder lightener called NO AMM by Artego. For info or to order, visit Artego.USA, or telephone Elisa at 817-877-7384. PS. Not for the home-user or for a recent cosmetology school graduate!
