The SCALP: What Lies Beneath is the Birthplace of the Hair

Leading dermatologists tell us what so many of us already know. Hair is "born" (formed) beneath the scalp in the hair follicle which is fed from our bloodstream, underneath the follicle in the hair bulb. This is where the blood nourishes the formation of keratin protein and othergenetic materials which push to the surface, creating a strand of hair, which emerges from

this follicle.

A HAIR FOLLICLE is A PORE... Just like the other PORES on our skn surface.. face and body! It is important to remember that these pores on the scalp cannot be suffocated by being coated with hair cosmetics, dry shampoo and cellular debris.. which impede the ability

for the follicle to funcion properly. Of course we need to use "product". BUT, for those who

believe that never (or rarely) washing their hair, or who think that hair falls out faster when they clean their scalp.... our communication with them must be clear. Any hair that "falls out"

in the shower was already detached from the hair. A clean scalp, massaged with dilute shampoo is necessary for new, strong hair to emerge from the scalp. Those people with a

very oily scalp are usually directed to shampoo daily. Other.. most of us.... at least twice a week. Take measures to completely SATURATE the hair with water. Apply shampoo to the SCALP.. not to the hair! Massage very, very well. covering all the scalp with lather.. nape, behind the ears, the entire head. Then, rinse like crazy and condition. ALL of this is a part

of slowing or stopping hair loss and of doing what we can to re-ignite a lazy follicle. Beautiful hair supports beautiful hair color! Thank you for reading this. Our site here is not FREE, and

designed to provide beneficial information many people enjoy. Scroll down and read more than 300 educational "tidbits" which I hope help those of use interested in hair, hair beauty and in the art of salon professional hair color. B
