This very controlled yet EFFECTIVE tehnique allows you to effectively remove very dark dye from brunette hair.. OR to gently lighten virgin brown hair.. without creating unwanted red
tone.
If the hair is long, this is best done at the shampoo bowl. The hair is first wet very
thoroughly.. A dangling agent (conditioner) is applied mid-lengths thru the ends to make
detangling easy. After detangling the hair, towel dry the hair very thoroughly.
Next, and starting in the nape.. then up into the back of the head, beginning application
1/4 inch away from the scalp, saturate the hair with the following formula:
2 ounces of Creme Hair Lightener mixed with 4 ounces of 10 Volume Developer.-- You have now created your own "Base Breaker" formula.
Working from the nape and up into the back of the head... Use both (glove-covered)
hands to massage the formula very thoroughly down into those hair lengths.. saturate
everything! After working up the back of the head and into the crown, you can now
begin applying the formula top of hear, to the face frame and then down the sides
of the yead. Remember to do all you can to avoid applying this formula to the scalp
area. Again, be very careful to saturate the mid lengths and ends of the hair.
Immediately start taking a look at what's happening (lifting action) in the nape.... and through
the back. In most cases, allowing this formula to remain 7 - 10 minutes will lighten the hair to a slightlly lighter. "NOT BLACK" but still "brown" base... Very, Very little or no warmth
will be exposed. Your've creates a wonderful salon service... removing excess pigment weight from the hair.
Now, RINSE FOREVER! Make certain that all lightener has been removed from the hair.
Shampoo, using a Ph balanced clarifying shampoo. Then, again, rinse like crazy and
condition the hair. Use a heat protectant and dry the hair.. front first so that you and
the client can observe these results. You might be finished.. or may choose to proceed
with a highlighting or toning service... It's up to YOU!
