Let's address two types of red hair:
A rich "copper red" which has lost it's "punch" and luster
A lighter warm "golden-copper" peach shade
To beautifully refresh the deeper copper red: Apply Redken Shades EQ. 1 ounce of
6RR plus 1/2 ounce of 7C plus 1/2 ounce of Oraange Kicker. Mix with equal parts of
SEQ processing solution.
To refresh the lighter, warm "golden-copper" peach shade, Apply Redken Shades EQ, 1 ounce of 8C plus 12 ounce of 10G plus 1/4 ounce of Orange Kicker. Mix with equal parts of SEQ processing solution.
I prefer to shampoo, rinse, and very, very thoroughly towel dry the hair. Apply this refreshing
glaze solution, roots through ends of the damp hair. Wearing two gloves, massage this formula into the hair lenghts, taking care to evenly and completely distribute the formula
into every sing hair strand. Cover the client's hair with a plastic cap and allow her to relax
at room temperature for 20 minutes. NOTE: if hair is EXTREMELY faded, you can process
under a pre-heated heat source, then continue processing at room temperature for 25 minutes.
NEXT: Rinse the hair THOROUGHLY. Lightly shampoo, condition and dry the hair... The results will be lovely. If you use an acidic demi brand other than SEQ follow the levels and
tones I've used here. Your results will be lovely. One Suggestion: Your client should take home a color bearing shampoo or conditioner to keep their color looking wonderful between
salon visits. And PS: Nothing "goofs up" red hair like chlorine in pool or hot tub water!
