SCIENTIFIC MEASUREMENT

I've been able to purchase textbooks from England which provide information about all

sorts of hair products, and am reading a chapter about the effects of hair lighteners (bleach) on hair strength.

The chemists conduct various types of testing, andl agree that lightened hair is MUCH MORE FRAGILE when it is WET.. And, as the hair dries, it becomes less likely to break

when brushed or combed.

SO, Take care when applying tension when working on wet, bleached hair. Be

sure to gently squeeze dry the hair with towels, as much as possible, and use a

leave-in detangling spray. Avoid stretching the hair with a brush until the hair

is protected and DAMP.. rather than soaking wet.
