A GORGEOUS HIGHLIGHT Accenting Natural LEVEL 3 or 4 BRUNETTE Hair

When a client understands that her natural skin tone and eye color, are WARM, and when

she has natural rich brown hair, levels 2, 3 or 4, you might recommend doing what I suggested today during one of my tutoring sessions.

Rather than highlighting the hair with lightener, brighten and add balanced warmth to this

brunette base shade. So many celebrities are enjoying this right now. Remember: hair must

be virgin deep brunette and we want to create a balanced warm (not brassy!) shot of color into the hair. Here's what to do.

After completele detangling the hair, section into four quadrants: Two in the back of the head and two in the front of the head. Mix 2 ounces of a level 12 (high lift) permanent hair color... ASH.. Preferably blue or blue-violet based. Combine according to manufacturer's instructions.. usually this is 1 part color to 2 parts developer. Now begin wrapping selected

strands throughout the hair.. making sure to SATURATE the ends of the hair lengths.

After wrapping the last foil, process this for 30 minutes at room temperature. Then, rilnse, shampoo and condition.

If the natural hair you are wrapping is level 2, dark brown, the highlight will be about a level 7

If the natural hair you are wrapping is level 3, med brown, your hightlight will be at between 7 and 8

If the natural hair you are wrapping is level 4, your highlight will be level 8. The highlight will be be a balanced warm golden.. it will no be "RED"... but will look like sun-lightened brunette hair. The cool tone of the high lift color will CONTROL the exposed warmth in the hiar.. without cancelling it out. And, your smart client will know that this summertime look will

accent her warm toned skin and eyes.
