Help! A new client brings you a card showing the formula she has been using prior
to meeting you. You see that her formula consists of at least a PART of an NW
shade. HELP! YOU DO NOT HAVE THAT SHADE!.
Relax: Create it! Here is what to do:
Look at the level of the NW shade she is bringing to you. Then:
mix 1 1/2 ounces of an N shade at the same level of the color she is showing you
then, add 1/2 ounce of a gold shade at that same level,
then, add 1/4 ounce of a copper shade at that same or similar level
YOU HAVE JUST CREATED an NW shade. Hey.. DON"T TELL THE CLIENT THAT YOU NEEDED TO CREATE THIS. Remain calm. Apply her formula carefully, and
enjoy your life as a salon professional hair colorist.
Love,
Beth
PS: See you in class: March 28th in Boston and April 25 in CHICAGO!
