Creating fabulous salon hair color results is a big part of what we do.. But, the other part of our work involves how we help clients ENJOY their time with us. Here are a few things

to keep in mind:


Remember: What they have seen or enjoyed in the past may no longer work. But your work of caring for people continues to matter.


LISTEN TO THEM. LET THEM TALK. CRAVE THE INTERACTION

NEVER FORGET THE POWER OF "NOW"


REMEMBER: That only 7% of salon clients report that they have received a consultation when they visit us. What they think differs from what we think! DO NOT START the service

until you have both participated in this vital conversation.


Under Promise.... and Over Deliver on what you do.


The clock can be your enemy. Try adding 15 extra minutes to every service. No "Rush Jobs". Protect your health, reduce stress and help every client feel pampered.


When the client needs more time with you, do what you can to help her NOW. Saying that

you can create the result she wants during her next visit... might mean that there will be no "next time". I know this is difficult.. again, the consultation, BEFORE you begin her service is

critically important.


Remember, that 93% of those working in beauty are women. and that even though 700K licensed salon pros are registered in the USA, many of these are not currently seeing clients or working in salon beauty. YOU matter. Remember that taking care of fewer clients per day and making every client feel special will help you become a salon star, build your business. and be able to successfully increase your prices.


Try to find inspiration in the mundane. Remember that a color retouch and glaze can be a creative experience. Remain inspired and decide to feel the joy! Create dimension in the hair because scheduling only "single process" retouches will not help your grow as an artist.

Consider placing a few highlights or lowlights into the hair lengths as the "root retouch" processes on the hair. These subtle yet lovely actions create wonderful beauty and make this retouch more personalized.. And doing this takes only a very few minutes!
